Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

CumulusMX- Using data files Cumulus 1.9.4

Post by courtil »

Hello everyone,

I try the MX version of Cumulus (3012 Version)
No problems with installation and use for a novice on a version without archives.

question:
how to use the data from the cumulus Version 1.9.4 file because the file loading (same format as the MX version gives me errors on the display and blocks Gauges and the Firefox browser?

Attached screenshot

Thank you for your information

Congratulations to Steve for this new achievement.

Best Regards

I moved your post - please post Cumulus MX queries in the Cumulus MX part of the forum.

This is a known issue. Please read the MX FAQ/Known issue post, and other threads in the forum about decimal commas. One of the issues is that Cumulus 1 uses decimal commas in the .ini files on systems that use decimal commas. Cumulus MX always uses decimal points. If you edit the copies of your .ini files in the Cumulus MX data folder to change all of the commas to decimal points (periods/full stops) they might work with MX.

Hello everyone,

Congratulations Steve, now CumulusMX correctly interprets data files with accented address (Février....)

Only the "yesterday" file is misinterpreted?

Then I have to look at the web files, no loading of the original Cumulus 1.9.4 files to the site ??

Thank you for everything

Best Regards

Your yesterday.ini has commadecimals these must be changed to point decimals you will have to edit all the ini files from Cumulus 1 to point decimals if you want to use it with MX as described in known issues.

...and as described in my first reply in this thread! I think I need a break from all this, some of the posts this weekend are testing my patience to the limit.

You opened up MX for testing on January 2, so it's been over 3 weeks and you've held it together quite nicely while accomplishing an enormous amount of work. It probably feels more like 3 months to you!

Now you'll need to prepare for when/if MX gets fully released to the masses! :o
