Things in Cumulus 1 missing from Cumulus MX

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Things in Cumulus 1 missing from Cumulus MX

Please comment with things that are in Cumulus 1 that you would like to see added to Cumulus MX. I'll add them to this list and start looking at putting them in Cumulus MX.

Edit: This is clearly causing confusion for some of you. Note that I am not asking you to vote for things that are already listed, I am asking for things to add to the list!

But those are already in the list. I'm not asking for votes for things already in the list, I'm looking for things to add to the list.

. Edit/All time records
. Edit/Monthly Records
. Edit/This month's records
. Edit/This Year's records

(All above including the "Fetch log/dayfile data" options.)

. View/This Period (No need for the This Year/Month etc as they all can be created by the This Period function)

. I guess people will want the RG11 input function - assuming it is not implemented already.

. also, I know you have listed dayfile.txt editor but specifically the "Create Missing" function. Little used (but important) items like this could be implemented as standalone executables if it is easier that way. (The "Fetch log/dayfile data" options in the records editors could be done this way too - again, if it is easier to implement that way).

User-defined time period on the graphs that appear on the trends page. My C1 installation uses 3 days.

The code is already in the engine, but there's currently no settings UI.

The ability to force an FTP update as per the Update Now menu feature (currently have to wait 15 minutes to see if a change worked with data etc. and I like to test it NOW :D ).

Edit: Whoops this might be there if FTP Manual update means the same?

These for Me...
  • Alarms
    Manual ftp-update
Errors like ftp-time out / sensor contact lost
    Flashing New Record
    Flashing Catch Up
I know this isn't in C1, but how about an rss feed in the sunset/rise box (console). This could be used to add your weather forecast of choiuce or weather warnings perhaps.

Wind run is on the wind rose in the latest (next) version. Apparent temperature is already supplied to the dashboard, so it can be added as required (I'll provide instructions at some point). I'll add ET to the supplied data so it can also be added as required.

I'd like to see the storm rain figure displayed on the dashboard and similar to above the RG11 data. Perhaps the RG11 data could be optional as I assume not many of us have these.
