Re: Upload errors with MX and Raspberry PI 3
You have "active ftp" set, have you tried unsetting that? You are getting timeouts, which is often an indication of firewall problems and/or incorrect ftp mode setting. Your ftp server is also refusing connections. Those "not understood" messages are coming back from your ftp server, it looks like some kind of communication problem is getting the commands garbled or out of sync. Looking at your web site, it does appear that at least some pages are being uploaded correctly.

Re: Upload errors with MX and Raspberry PI 3
Unsetting active ftp seems to have cured the ftplog errors. MXdiag still shows timeout errors but there is no apparent affect on the uploads. I'm going to let it run for another 48 hours to check NOAAreport updates. If good, I'll go live.
Many thanks for your useful suggestions.

Re: Upload errors with MX and Raspberry PI 3
Last night, we had few quite strong thunderstorms, one lightning strike was near my friends place and electricity went out for a part of a seconds. He's running Davis VP2 +CumulusMX and PC on a UPS. After that strike, FTP errors occurred in a log. It didnt came up untill CumulusMX was restarted, he also had Active FTP checked.

Active FTP should not be set unless your ISP specifically says to do so.
