Air Pressure readings

Hey Guys,

I'm so confused please hear me out,

my station
88.913 m or 291.709 feet above sea level
Current Pressure - 1015.5 hpa
current temp - 19.5

station by sea level
0m above sea level -
current pressure - 1023.25 hpa
current temp 21.3

I'm really just confused about what to put in relative pressure on the station monitor, all these calculators have scared me a little.

You just put 1023.25 in your console (or whatever that other station is reading when you do it) - assuming that station is reliable and not too far from you. Then restart Cumulus and it will pick up the change.

thanks steve however this is where my confusion lies, station is 88m wouldn't that be lower, every station ive been to is reporting basically the same 1022.91 which is odd.

Yes, higher altitude equals lower absolute/station pressure, as demonstrated by your lower reading than the sea-level reading. That's why sea-level pressure is always used, as it removes the difference caused by altitude.

Not a problem thanks steve, hmm there's a few pressure readings now, that I've gone through, those calculators are really annoying. I just reset the station and pressure seems to be ok now. Now hopefully awekas can become active again!
