I've often wondered about the "Blocky Graphs" myself, in particular I notice it on wind speed.

My thoughts have been to wonder if Highcharts has the capability or option to plot a "Line of Best Fit" or trend line, similar as can be done with charts in Excel.

Change the series plot type to "spline" for a smoothed curve through the data points.
