I noticed on my PC's that the "Last station update" time can run as much as 30 seconds ahead of local time. To check I opened up the interface on my tablet at the same time and the last station update was a few seconds behind local time. Is this because the local time is the local PC or tablet time and the station update time is from the Davis or from my RP3? I have the option checked to synchronize the Davis station clock.
This isn't an issue but I was just curious.

It's the time that MX last read data from the station according to the clock on the platform running MX.

Re: Source for station update time displayed on CumulsuMX Interface
Thanks Steve. I think I confirmed that the issue is that the local time is the time on the PC you are using to view the interface page can drift between between PC clock updates from whatever time server you are using. I checked this morning on one of my PC's and the last update was 20 seconds ahead of local time. I opened up the clock settings in Windows and forced the PC clock to update from the NIST time server. Then the last station update showed that is was a second or two behind local time, which is what I would expect to see.

If you are confident in editing the registry it's also worth changing this this value in:-
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient
to 86400 instead of the default.
It makes the clock re-sync once a day instead of once a week. Helps cope with the drift better.
Cheers

Thanks, I have used regedit before. I wondered where you changed that.

Re: Source for station update time displayed on CumulsuMX Interface
I ran into this today. I checked both clocks versus https://www.time.gov/ and found my PC (browser host) was off while the Pi server looked very close. I decided to tweak the registry on the PC to make it update more frequently. (Thanks for the tip.) It was set to 604800, or once a week.
In tinkering with this it seemed the first 2 times in that widget are "local" and the third appears to be working off the server side... (since I'm a visual guy an image follows)

This is a nice free utility that I use to keep my PC clock on time.
