Exception Error with a Davis Vue

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

The connection to the station was lost, after that it was unable to read any more data. Loose connection, perhaps?

Hi Steve,

Don't go near it when it happens but may be some issue if i directly plug in the logger to my usb ports it says unknown uusb device(device descriptor request failed) if I use a usbb to a extending cable it works fine apart from this error that happens.

I think you have a USB port/cable/something else problem. You've disabled any USB power saving settings in Windows?

Hi Steve,

In Device manager told all usb to not turn off power and have also found in power settings a usb selective suspend option and that was enabled so have disabled that
