Cumulus Support

Ive got CumulusMX running on a pi zero. All the data is updating on the pi.
Ive got the ftp working and uploaded files.
Ive uploaded /web and /webfiles

On the internet it is like there is no data being uploaded so the dials have never updated.

Ive read about uploading reatimegaugesT.txt as realtimegauges.txt and tried all permutations of the path but still does not upload the file.

If i upload it manually i get the error- parseerror:syntaxerror: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 72 column 17 of the JSON data

Ive read people having asame fault but not seen any resolution to this problem.

Anyone give me a pointer?

You don't need to manually configure realtimegauges.txt with the latest version of MX, just make sure you have all the realtime ftp options selected. A link to your web site would help diagnosis.

You don't need the contents of the Cumulus web folder on your server. If the instructions you followed tell you to upload it, please let me know where that is so it can be corrected.

Do you have the following set in the internet settings?
And if so, have you tried restarting Cumulus?

yes ive got those settings but changed upload frequency to 1 minute so i can do changes

Have you tried restarting Cumulus? Many settings require a restart. Having restarted Cumulus, is the realtimegauges.txt file actually present on your web server in the 'weather' directory? Some web servers (normally with free hosting) do not allow .txt files to be served.

there are a few things not working on the station at mo and i think its down to batteries being low but the wind speed works ok

hmmmm i dont know what has happened but now i restarted the pi it uploaded the files needed. I tried that yesterday...

Seems to be working now.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but is there anything special required to get a Pi zero w to run Cumulus MX? I already have it running on a Pi 2 but want to swap it to Zero W.

Can I just pop the card from the Pi 2 into the Pi Zero?
