Remote sensor contact lost

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Remote sensor contact lost

Post by bajowar »

Error message Remote sensor contact lost
When calling the weather page (here http://www.engelrod.com/wetterbericht/gauges.htm), the control indicator flashes red and the message "remote sensor contact lost" is displayed. The secondary counter counts correctly from 5 to 0 and restarts. It also happens that the display is correct for a few minutes and then suddenly switches to red, with the above error message.

The display in the Dashboard Last station update is striking. The display will be updated between 10 seconds and a few minutes. The color of the triangle before the time is then also red. As far as I remember, it was stable all the time in 10 seconds.

In Dasboard green marked Last Cumulus update: every 3 seconds

Cumulus is passing on the information that your console is reporting that it has stopped receving data from the outside transmitter (perhaps intermittently).

Most of that kind of weather stations have problems with the solar power.
Try new rechargable batteries batteries and if the problem exist, put alcaline batteries and forget the solar panel.
