Is there any way I can confirm that the logger is now recording in 10 minute intervals?

Simplest way is to leave MX stopped for half an hour, when it starts up it should download three logger entries timestamped at 10 minute intervals.

Success!
I did as you suggested and when I restarted MX after 30 minutes MXdiags showed three log entries at 10 minute intervals being written!
I'll now see whether that helps with the apparently intermittent connection problems.
