CumulusMX Error - Windows
I think I followed all the procedures to have Cumulus MX run inside my existing Cumulus folder. Getting an error eventually after executing Cumulius MX exe.

Re: CumulusMX Error - Windows
That error is usually a result of not running MX as administrator.

Re: CumulusMX Error - Windows
looks like cumulusMX was already running perhaps.
make sure it is not already running. then try to run as administrator.

Re: CumulusMX Error - Windows
How do you think you are running MX as Administrator. Did you right click Command Prompt and then select Run as Administrator or are you just assuming that you have an Administrator User Account as due to the vagaries of Windows this does not always grant full admin rights.
See the Instructions starting Running Cumulus MX in the first post of this Topic https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12908 and use the netsh instruction listed.

Re: CumulusMX Error - Windows
That is a red herring it is just coming from the compiled executable.showing a drive path I don't have (C:\users\steve\documents...)
To me it looks like you are either running two copies of Cumulus MX or you are running another program that is accessing Cumulus MX files stopping Cumulus accessing them. Was a virus checker running by any chance?

Re: CumulusMX Error - Windows
No, that's a different error as you are now running it as administrator. Looks like something else is already listening on port 8998 (a likely candidate being, as David suggests, another instance of MX). What's the output from netstat -o -a -n ?ScottVan wrote:Checked that...same error

Re: CumulusMX Error - Windows
from the c prompt just type "tasklist" should show you ALL processes running at the time. scroll through them all to see if the CumulusMX.exe is running more than once.
