All our computers shut down and restart just before with no warning - I started cumulus and after downloading from the logger the error light was flashing, and the error log says "28/11/2010 5:22:00 p.m. : Error reading C:\Cumulus\data\Nov10log.txt around line 38462: Series Delete: ValueIndex 0 out of bounds (0 to -1)."
Just wondering what this means?
Thanks

No power outages here?
Maybe someone flipped your mains switch

Someone else on the same street had a power fluctuation too. How strange....Super-T wrote:No power outages here?

I assume it was a power spike because none of our fuses popped out either

Re: error with log file
Presumably the power failure caused a corruption in the log. I don't know what the last part of the error message means (it's just copied straight from the system exception message) but this part:DaveNZ wrote: "28/11/2010 5:22:00 p.m. : Error reading C:\Cumulus\data\Nov10log.txt around line 38462: Series Delete: ValueIndex 0 out of bounds (0 to -1)."

Error reading C:\Cumulus\data\Nov10log.txt around line 38462
is telling you that an error occurred while reading C:\Cumulus\data\Nov10log.txt, around line 38462. What does your file look like in that area?

Re: error with log file
Line 38462 looks fine, same as the lines above and below

Re: error with log file
The last part of the error message looks like it's coming from the chart component, but if that line looks OK, then I don't know what it's complaining about. I still suspect you have some file corruption, see if the error message persists next time you restart Cumulus.

Re: error with log file
I just realised something, line 38462 corresponds to 5.22pm 27 Nov. The error occurs at 5.22pm 28 Nov! My graph plot range is 24hr so not sure what's going on there.
Viewing each data series in the Select a graph feature shows nothing out of place

Re: error with log file
I'm not surprised that it's 24 hours from the flagged line, if it's something to do with the graphs. It's pre-drawing the graphs from the data in the logs; it looks like the first time it tries to add a point, i.e. from 24 hours before, it gets an error. I'd have expected your graphs to look odd though. See what happens when you restart.DaveNZ wrote:I just realised something, line 38462 corresponds to 5.22pm 27 Nov. The error occurs at 5.22pm 28 Nov!
