Will have no hesitation in donating to Cumulus if the software functions OK. So far impressed with Cumulus although having a small problem with rainfall data at but will read all the posts to see if the answer is there somewhere.

Even with a direct serial connection, some La Crosse users do get less than ideal results with Cumulus, so please do take as much time as you want trying it out before you even think about donating.

Have always wanted a weather station and had one bought for me for xmas. Maplin N96GY. Looked on the internet for other related items and found your website. I must say you look as though you have put a lot of time and effort into the site. I find it really interesting. Have donated this morning. Keep up the good work.

I've been running Cumulus with my LaCrosse 2300 for over a month with no major glitches. Much friendlier than the Heavyweather software that I've used for the previous 2 years. So donation on the way...

Steve, thanks very much for all the time you are spending on this project. It is a lot of effort for the benefit of others. You are a far more patient man than I am.

I have played around with Cumulus quite a bit over the last couple of weeks and learned a lot. Thanks again, and I hope the donation helps the cause.

Hi Steve,
i apologize in advance for my English. Translates to google.

After a year of using the program, I recognize that Steve is doing a great job and because I continue to support the development of the program will send a smaller amount of money.

Sincerely Šikýř Karel

Hi Steve

I'm going to donate about the same amount as some of your compeditors charge for their software, but just need to get the Xmas bills paid first. :(

Given the paypal fees would it be more beneficial to you for me to pay in a few smaller installments or just wait until I can pay in one lump sum?

Cumulus doesn't have any competitors, Phil, it's unique! :)

Don't worry about donating until you're ready and able. I know this thread started off with a cri de couer, but since then the donations have been coming in, and I've been very pleased with the response. I received enough to buy two lots of components, even at the ridiculous prices they charge, and I now have enough to renew the Telerik components for another year when that becomes due in May (I can continue to use the ones I've paid for, but I have to pay an annual fee to continue to get updates and support).

So, another big thank you to everyone who has donated, and those of you haven't yet, whatever your reasons - no worries!

The difference is insignificant, so whatever suits you best is fine.

Thanks,
Steve

Excellent, in that case first installment will be made tomorrow. It will be modest, but will be the first of several. (much easier to get this past the finance dept/fun police! ;) )

I sent a small donation but did not receive any acknowledgement - is this normal? Just wanted to make sure it got to the right place.

I usually send out a short 'thank you', but sometimes the email notification which I receive gets marked as spam, so I don't see it, so can't easily send a reply. I've checked and I did receive your donation - thank you.
