Hello.
Does anybody else here have the Oregon LW301?
I`m thinking about buying this one, but does someone know how often it updates the wind? Does it catch the windgust?

Hi Richard.

Yes I have the LW301, the wind is updated every 14 seconds, yes it does catch the windgust.

I have been given a LW301 as a Christmas present

Grateful for advice on whether I will be able to use connect it to Cumulus display system/software. If so are there any set up points to note?

You can't use it with Cumulus. As far as I am aware, there is no way to connect it to a PC at all, it uploads its data to a web site, and you view it from there with a browser or whatever.
