UV index wrong

UV index wrong
Hi Gang, everything been running smooth as silk on my Oregon Scientific WMR88 hence no queries for a while. But I bought the UV sensor back at Christmas and hooked it up no problems and have been getting readings since then. Now I live in Spain and as you can imagine the sun shines a lot and every day my readings on the unit and hence Cumulus are 3 then 4 and has been at 4 for a couple of months now. The temperatures and sun are blazing down but my UV sensor never goes past 4 even though the local weather station today says the UV index is 10. Any ideas what's wrong with the sensor it does give me a reading but it is definitely low.??????????

Low readings seem to be common with these, as reported here and in reviews elsewhere (on Amazon etc).
