WM 918
Hi
I just downloaded the latest version of Cumulus 9.1.2. I have a OS 918 connected to my PC(XP) via COM 1.
At this point I have no data being received/displayed by the application.
Using Virtual Weather Station software, which came with the weather station I am able to receive Data and display it.
Using the configuration setting for 918 I see only the Error light flashing in the Status Box. If I switch to 928 I get the Flashing Error light and four Battery indicators ( rain, wind, temp, indoor).
I have rebooted, recycled, both the PC and the RS232 Connection with no luck.
I do not see how to turn on debugging, so i don't have anything to send along to help at this point.
Regards
Ray

Re: WM 918
If your station is wired rather than wireless, then the WM918 setting is definitely the one you want. Select that, and then restart Cumulus. The setting to turn on the debug log is on the Configuration menu. Select it, then let it run for a few minutes. Then zip up the diags folder and attach it, along with the debug.log file.
Note that clicking on the flashing error light displays the error window which should give the reason for the light flashing.

Steve - Thanks
I have a wired 918 so I have left that alone.
Attached is the Diag file.
Its showing A CRC error for the data capture.
Thanks

Re: WM 918
Ah yes, I see now that I don't actually log the data for the WM918 as I do for the WMR928. Not many users have this type of station. It's quite possible that I broke support for this station some time ago, when I upgraded my compiler. I'll see what changes I had to do for the WMR928 code to see if I did the changes for the WM918 correctly. I'll also add the logging of the data.

Re: WM 918
I can't see anything obviously wrong with the code; I've added logging of the data. Please overwrite your installed cumulus.exe with the one in this zip file: http://nybbles.co.uk/downloads/Cumulus.zip, run it and turn on the debug log for a few minutes, and then attach the debug.log file.
Is your com port set to 9600-N-1?

Re: WM 918
It looks like your station uses the WMR928 protocol. This:
FFFF0600030234049D390000061D
looks like a WMR928 indoor sensor packet. The WM918 setting is definitely not going to work. Try switching to the WMR928 setting, restarting Cumulus, and if nothing happens, turn on the debug log and attach it again.
