As part of the COL monthly weather report ( Climatological Observers Link) They are producing some 10 and 25 year averages from stations around the country for publication. One of the headings is Monthly Mean Pressure at 0900hrs. Unfortunatley I have only been keeping a written record for the last couple of years but my VP2 and WM918 have been running alot longer. Cumulus record on the VP2 go back to 2007, I have some even older Cumulus data aswell.

Question . Is there an easy way to obtain the data I need from exsisting Cumulus data ?

tks

A fairly quick way: load a monthly file (e.g. May11log.txt) into Excel, specifying comma as the separator. Select the entire spreadsheet by clicking on the top left arrow icon, and sort on column B (the time). Scroll down until you find 09:00, then select the all of the pressure readings (column K) for the 09:00 readings. Excel will tell you the average of the selected values in the status bar at the bottom.

I just did my April 2011 figure in less than a minute altogether.
