Cumulus not reading all rain data

I have a Davis vantage vue. I have a serial to usb cable convertor between them, not the Davis data logger setup. I guess this could make some difference in what cumulus reads from the console. Anyway I show .1 inches of rain on the Davis console but 0.00 in cumulus.

Over what period?

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll have a look at the rain counter and see what it's doing. Cumulus uses the annual total from the console to determine all of the rainfall figures.

This was over the past few hours. I stopped cumulus and when it restarted it shows .12 inches for the last hour and for today.

From about 20:00 last night, the Davis DLL which Cumulus uses was unable to contact your station:

Restarting Cumulus cleared this.

I did add a different web cam to the pc last night about 20:00. I guess I should have restarted the pc to avoid this problem.

It looks like it must have caused some sort of glitch on the USB which stopped communication with the station.
