I FTP'ed into the root of the site and sent the realtime.txt file. Seems to be working now. How do these realtime gauges update? Do they stay in the current direction and speed? Or are they "animated"?
No it isn't working, you do not manually ftp the realtime.txt file, you need to tick the 'enable realtime' and 'realtime.txt ftp' check boxes in the Cumulus setup.

hmm, the file isn't updating, I'd try increasing the realtime interval. I think you will have to switch on FTP logging and take a look at that.

Cumulus does a 'PUT' for the realtime.txt file by appending '/realtime.txt' to the ftp directory that you supply, and it looks like your server does not like the result. You could try finding a 'relative' path to the ftp directory - i.e. one without a leading 'slash'.

Steve,

And if i do find a relative path to my FTP server/directory, where in Cumulus do I add this relative path to?

Alan

You put it where you have the existing absolute path - the ftp directory.
