I think some people have tried it on a NAS, but I'm not sure. But please do try it yourself, if it's not too much trouble.

I could also try it on my synology NAS, just grant me access and I'll test away Steve.

OK, done. I think I've added everyone who has asked now.

Going off-topic slightly, I've been looking at those Synology boxes and I think I might get one to replace my Windows Home Server system, assuming MX does run OK on one.

I have been using such a Synology box for a few years - it has been quite reliable and easy to maintain. The one Synology NAS I have has two drives operating in RAID 1 format, meaning one drive for data and one drive for protection. Regular updates of the operating software as well as the suggested utilities are provided on a regular basis. Technical support has been good so far (the few times I had to contact them, their replies were timely and informative).

OK. So testing might be useful, since I did not read any reports until now. I will start after upcoming weekend (my house warming party this saturday is using all my resources right now :| ).
My CMX testing will be on my old spare NAS, a Synology DS210j, DSM 5.1-5022 (latest FW version).
Next to this, I will still be testing on my RPI.

Hi Steve,
I would very much like to beta test your new version of Cumulus. I've been running Cumulus1 for a few years on Server 2012 with a fine offset station, but I've bought a new Davis Vantage vue and I'm in the process of designing a new website to hook it up to,
At present, the two of them are running on my website with the new one running on a windows 8.1 pc.

If I had to rely on any other software bar Cumulus then I would have given up years ago, thanks for your great work Steve

Very interesting Steve. Not sure how much time I have but I like the basis under which you wrote it.
