Hope its ok to ask - i really like the slower movement of the pointers and the use of the background image at

Could something similar be achieved using SteelSeries?

That Climatica display is a very different beast altogether, but you can alter the gauge pointer speed by adjusting the fullScaleDeflectionTime parameter in gauges.js ...
