Reporting 0 degrees to CWOP

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

All other sites and station reporting fine. VWS reporting correctly.
Any help appreciated.

I had an issue when I started uploading to CWOP from Cumulus MX, best read http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Cumulus.ini_(Beta).

I have a Davis Pro2 and latest Firmware, but I use VVP to run both Cumulus1 and CumulusMX for the time being, so had to disable Loop2.
Worked fine after that.

There's a bug in the code which formats the temperature for CWOP when it gets below 0F (and a bit of detective work tells me that's your problem). The format it uses causes CWOP to interpret it as zero. I do actually have the correct code in MX but I'm not using it! I'll fix it in the next build.

Note that the content of CWOP updates don't get logged unless you have debug logging turned on, and when reporting problems with CWOP or other online services, it's useful to know your station ID!

Thanks Steve. My ID is EW6753. Supposed to be below 0 for a few days yet here. I'll work around it until next release.

CWOP ID: DW6725
This weekend is the 1st time this season our temps will be below 0, and yes it is currently -3.9 and reported to CWOP as 0
You stated you would work around it until the next release, how so? just curious.
Just turned on Debug logging to see what is sent to CWOP.

Sorry, haven't stopped by for a while.
My workaround is to turn off CWOP reporting in CMX and run VWS and VWSarps along side of CMX.

I see, that would work. I don't see any more Arctic air in the near future. The weekend of the 13th we had the coldest temps this season.

13th -11
14 -20
15 -10

Steve said it would be fixed in the next build, I'll just have to wait till then, thanks for the answer.

I'm going to upload a new build of MX shortly. I'm in the middle of some enhancements but I'm just not finding the time to complete them, and there are quite a few bug fixes already done, so I'm going to release with just the bug fixes.
