Re: New Record? Post here.
Yesterday’s Highest Daily Temp Range only managed to break the March monthly record with 18.5C. The All Time Record is 19.2C set 9 Sept 2012
Today two records broken for March monthly records. Highest Temp 25.4C and Highest Apparent Temp 23.8c.
As I have a small urban garden this may have caused an over reading, so at 4.00pm I checked the local METAR's. METAR range of temps 24 to 25C, VP2 reading 24.2C.

20.7 °C range for me which was a new April record, but does not beat my all time 21.3 °C set in March 2012.

Re: New Record? Post here.
I had an all-time temperature range record go on Saturday, 16.5 °C. CMX didn't treat it as a new record though, the light didn't flash to acknowledge it as a record. Could it be a bug?

Mapantz,
Should be easy enough to check. What is your existing all-time record?

Hi Ray
https://www.warehamwx.co.uk/cumulus/record.htm
What I mean is, it shows the new record within the all-time records page, but the light on my main page didn't flash to say a record had broken.

Re: New Record? Post here.
MX only sets <#newrecord> for a record on the current day (as a hack because there's currently no way to unset it manually).

Understood. I thought it hadn't set the all-time record but you confirmed it did. Steve has now explained the MX situation.

ah - so the maximum daily range record will only update at the rollover time? Hence no light?
edit: I'm pretty sure when I broke my minimum daily range record back in December, the light was flashing?

Re: New Record? Post here.
Possibly something to do with the actual timestamp that it records for the record (even though it applies to the whole day).Mapantz wrote:edit: I'm pretty sure when I broke my minimum daily range record back in December, the light was flashing?

Re: New Record? Post here.
This station equalled the highest May temp yesterday at 28.6°C. That record was set back in 2010.
I was pretty confident it was going to be broken today with clear skies forecast all day. Sadly not. Just 28.2°C was today's high.
Still very impressive given summer doesn't start until next Thursday.

Re: New Record? Post here.
Not an all time record as such, but I have just recorded a 43mph gust, 22mph windspeed. I have looked at my Wunderground data going back to 2011, and that's the highest for June. The highest I can remember since having a station, to be fair.
