New version failure

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Trying to update MX to latest v3043 and receiving errors - 'MXdiag.zip' attached. Love some advise.

Your station isn't being detected:

2017-04-28 16:26:23.601 16:26:23 WMR100 station not found!

I don't think this is anything to do with the version of MX - what version were you using previously? Is your station shown in Device Manager?

Hi Steve -
Thank you for the ever swift answer. Now have CumulusMX talking to station and data appears in the dashboard as it should. Uploading, however, is not working. All files show up on my web server via ftp but are all empty (0 kKB) and diags show an error with mySQL syntax. What have I missed Best regards,

George Wheelock

What build number were you upgrading from? Have you read the release notes for all of the interim builds? UTF-8 problem, perhaps?

Or perhaps a firewall problem and you need to resolve that and/or switch between active and passive ftp modes?

Re the SQL syntax error - could also be a firewall issue, or perhaps your SQL server doesn't allow remote connections - there was a recent thread where someone had syntax errors and that was the case.
