But, @phil,
I haven't touched Han's code, I just modify the page it creates after the event.
That's also my code :lol:
Anyway, I can.live with it.
Good point! :)

Thanks mate!

@hills ...

Sorry ! As you mentioned Linux I assumed that you had edited the 'base' code :oops:

Had I realised, the beteljuice wouldn't have put his beak in.

Haha! all good. It is a pretty trashy/fragile script, hence why I "resemble" and not "resent" that remark ;)

Version 2.1.6 is online.

Errorhandling is now complete @All, specifically @Laulau, @Phil23: check your Easter egg, @hvd51: check the legend in YADR for the wind speeds.
Any remarks, please feedback.

Oh, and Easter eggs are unsupported features ;)

Hi Hans,
Easy update as always.
• YADR NOTE: Title of barometric values should contain ‘Average’. This has been added to the default but it won’t change automatically if it is already in your ini-file.
Done
• YADR: the legends now also are correct for all units available (the only site where this can be seen/checked is “‘t Zandt”)
Correct yes, but now not only at "'t Zandt" and that site is still on v2.1.0 :?
• Addition of Phil’s EasterEgg. Hint: check the cumulusutils.ini after run of 2.1.6 and read this thread backwards. Can’t be too difficult if you’re a regular follower.
I am pretty regular here, but with 2 Phil's and things often being difficult, I haven't been successful in the egg hunt :oops:
I am not so brave as to tinker with the code :(

Still enjoying,
Paul

@Hans,
@hvd51: check the legend in YADR for the wind speeds.
I have that page in an iframe where the height is dynamically determined when loading the page, so that was not high enough for the legend for the wind speeds. I fixed it.

Thank you for noticing.

:D , thanks!
1) Well done
2) 't Zandt now has updated, so you can see the legend in m/s (i.s.o. km/h)
3) Well, far from rquired but it is for phil23 and yes, sometimes it's confusing :?

That was an issue too, thanks for fixing. But my fix was about the values: you have wind speed in m/s but the legend was in km/h. I changed it, now the legend, the values etc... should be OK but they are completely off. Could you send me your current dayfile for testing? Sorry about this.

@Phil23: check your Easter egg
Very Cool.

Not sure what's happening in Dec 2017.
It checks out ok in my BJ dayfile reader although I am aware of a couple of duplicate entries.

I did edit them out & correct it, tested etc.
Just omitting coping it back to my live data. :oops:

Interesting;

As High charts zooms it treats the bars in the graph as stacked bars for a given period.

Ok,

Looking better now.

Found two rogue entries in the dayfile.
Co-incidentally they were both on Dec 31st, for 2016 & 17.

Values like -380.16 & -1299.97

Replaced them with "Visually Derived" values that fit with previous days trends.
(More technically known as having a guess).

Edit:-

Lol, so after all of the above I decide it's time to check my emails...…... :lol:

Version 2.1.7 is now online

Specifically for @hvd51 (think it's OK now), but it won't be bad for any.
Please check the legends, colours and values in YADR and notify any anomaly. Thanks!

@phil23: :lol: @ checking the mail after the forum. Anyway, hope you can do something with it.

Re: Cumulusutils

Almost a month without news, longest period of silence so far, so everything seems to be OK ;)

CumulusUtils is still in the test phase, which is running very well btw, and I have the following remarks:
  1. The maps XML file had been corrupted on 20/2 (detected by Piotr) and repaired by me 22/2. When you rerun for mapson you'll be back on the map if you were removed. I'll check the XML regularly for errors the coming time to try to find the cause and may implement a correction. So far it is a small riddle what is happening. Personally I use the map for easy access to check the different sites for - especially - pwsFWI and related graphs so I hope you keep running the mapson module. Thanks.
  2. The weather in Australia seems to be slowly shifting towards autumn with rain quenching the fires and somewhat lower temperatures overall, this first fire season for pwsFWI has shown a successful relation between the index and the real situation locally on the ground. I am very happy with that and thanks for running the tool down under!
  3. All pwsFWI in the Northern Hemisphere are still green apart from San Sebastian which sometimes (strangely) turns blue. I am looking forward to the season in the North, especially in Southern Europe around the Mediterranean, hoping for some additional participants in that region (e.g. Italy and Greece).
  4. When I see weird things with a station I contact you (or you contact me) and we discuss, but when a station fails completely (Surrey Downs), it is up to you :?
For me, looking at all sites with the graphs and all different meteorological situations this has been a very interesting period seeing, interpreting and learning about all kind of different meteorological, geological situations and micro-geographical/meteorological influences (in relation to fire weather). Hope it is the same or similar for you. pwsFWI not only shows the fire weather index, but it also provides an overview of recent weather in the blink of an eye.

Currently I am working, on a much lower pace, on some other additions (records). But, because everybody has already some kind of records display, I am not in a hurry :). I am also working on another sensor project for air quality which I am not sure to share at all (and for which I am waiting - corona? - for some parts ordered in China :groan: ).
