4500 days of date

Post by ken555 »

Today (28/4/23) is my 4500 day of collecting data !

Going to award myself a badge for length of service. :)
Only had to replace the bearings on the anemometer at couple of times, and batteries every year to be safe.

Well done, although if we're counting then I have been doing it for 6300+ days so far although not always with the same kit. Initially a Davis VP1 which lasted 15 years and now Ecowitt.

One of those things, it’s hard to stop when you have records over such a long period of time.

I started in August 1999, but consider January 2000 as my official start date for comparison purposes.

I have 5400 or so lines in my dayfile.txt file. So I'm assuming that means I have 5400 days. Started the data gathering in 2008 I believe.

I’m sure CumulusX will have a dayfile.txt editor allowing you to correct those erroneous records.

As it’s a plain text file you should be able to load it into a spreadsheet like Excel and check for multiple bad records. Free alternatives are available.
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

@ken555, your all-time records started on 1 January 2011 but no all-time record is no older than 24 May 2022.

Something has gone wrong.
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.
