Can anyone tell me a possible reason for my data not being recorded for 2 hours between 7:30am and 9:30am today, please? A zip of my MXDiags file is attached as well as a zip of my Mar24 log file. Is there any chance of recreating/retrieving this data?
There were no electricity outages during the time in question.
Thanks

Re: Missing data for 2 hours
It looks like your computer went to sleep, the log just pauses, then restarts, when it restarts the FTP connection has timed out and has to be re-established.
You could stop MX, and restore the backup done at midnight on 14th (make a backup of the current contents of the /data folder first!), then restart MX. It will catch-up from your logger and fill in the gap. But note your data will only be at the resolution of logger interval.

Re: Missing data for 2 hours
Do you run Cumulus MX as a service on Windows? If so it *should* detect the sleep and terminate the service. I say should because Windows 11 has some issues with power notifications.

@mcrossley
Thanks.
I have no experience in running anything as a service.
Do you recommend changing to that mode of running and what may be the advantage of doing so?
Now, I simply start MX by clicking on its icon and leave it running and it works well apart from minor aberations like the one under current advice.
Thanks.

Re: Missing data for 2 hours
The advantage of running as a service is that Cumulus will start and stop with your computer, there is no need to login and start it manually.
The disadvantage is that the console output is no longer visible, but you can still view that information via the console log file in the MXdiags folder.
