Hi Steve, that seems to work great for the backups except when I hit the compress button it errors with can't find C:\program files\cumulus\7za.exe, do I need to download that?

EDIT: D'oh - asks the question then reads the wiki, just ignore me! :bash:

The Cumulus reset happens very quickly after midnight (within the first minute). On tests backup of my Cumulus it takes about one second! Do it a few minutes after midnight just to be safe, So Every Day at 00:05 for example

I have been running mine hourly for the last few days; firstly testing it, but I have also had a few issues with bad data on my sensors so I can recover quickly to a backup that is only an hour old. The backups are so small that I can keep many without any great impact on disk space

For more security of my data (created with the toolbox) I sync them on free 5 Gb webstorage from Microsoft Mesh http://mesh.com (you need a live-account) you can use this on a mac and windows PC (even mobile phones) instead of dropbox.com you can sync complete folders/directories.

Hi David,

I have just installed Toolbox and I may have stumbled across an issue already reported but couldn't see it after a quick look. I went into setup and couldn’t see how I could exit back or save – aha I thought, screen resolution! I have a large screen and it’s set to 125% (it’s an age thing  ), so I changed it back to 100% and hey presto (squinting just a little) Save and Cancel are visible. Is this something that can be resolved?

No smart answers like "get glasses!"

I can relate to that, Neil.
I often have to zoom in or zoom out so I can read the display easily.

Cheers.

Very usefull "toolbox"

One suggestion for enhancement...

Would it be possible to have the toolbox take a scheduled run of some batch or exe files ? :?:

Build 44 available

http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Toolbox
http://www.gloware.co.uk/files/ToolboxSetup.exe

  • Added ability to schedule execution of local executable or batch files
  • Renamed 'HTTP Requests' tab in setup to 'Remote commands'
  • Bug fix - Time of backup would not always show on the setup screen
  • Setup screen can be resized should the Save/Cancel buttons fall off the screen
  • Increased the font size of the display

Hi James

See the requirements page on the wiki....http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Toolbox#Requirements

I wonder if you do not have .NET libraries installed?
(I do not include it as part of the package as almost everyone has it installed already)

Hi daj,
Thanks for the help, indeed I did not have .NET libraries installed. Cumulus Toolbox is now working.
:)

David, when you get a minute  How about adding the ability to automatically select the current month file for upload? I am uploading mine, but will have to remember to change the filename in both the upload rule and the remote command rule at the end of the month. Perhaps use a variable substiution in the strings - something like %monthfile%?

Handling the month end would require a bitof thought, as i upload just after midnight, on the 1st of the month it would have to upload the previous months file :?

Most useful utility btw

Cheers
Mark
