I was wondering if there is a way to fix this, I have replaced the batteries, did a complete reset of the unit, I can see the wind speed this turning but the speed gauge does not register the speed. Is there any other test I can do to to make sure I've tried everything be fore buying another one..

Thanks
W

Is this just in Cumulus, or on the console too? Are you getting a wind direction reported OK on the console?

It could be a sticking reed switch on the anemometer. Sometimes tapping the anemometer (carefully!) can free it.

I can see the blades turning on it, But it does not read (wind speed) on the ws2308 or in cumulus, What bothers me the wind direction works fine, on both the lcd display and in cumulus, so I didn't know if there were any tricks to get it going,

Thanks

Sound to me like either a broken cable, affecting just the anemometer part, or (more likely) a sticking reed switch.

Sometimes you can free them just by tapping the anemometer, but if it needs replacing I don't know the details of how to do that with the La Crosse anemometer. I'm sure someone else here does, though, and will be able to advise.
