Steve,
LATER: Just noticed you now have a beta folder. Feel free to move this there.
I have Cumulus configured to update WeatherUnderground every 5 minutes. But in recent builds I notice it's occuring far more frequently. The attached screenshot shows what's happening. Any ideas why? I'm running 1.9.1 build 955.
Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.
Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024

Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Re: WU updates
I've got mine set to 15 minutes, and that's exactly what I see on the WU site. Do you have rapid fire enabled?
One possible cause might be a problem with the recent 'catch up' code, if it was somehow getting the timestamps wrong. But that would require you to have stopped Cumulus for a period of time so that it actually needed to catch up.

I only stop and start Cumulus when I change versions. I did have problems with my router this morning but Cumulus may only have missed one or two updates. Looking at yesterday's uploads there were times in the early hours when they happened each minute. One possible cause might be a problem with the recent 'catch up' code, if it was somehow getting the timestamps wrong. It's not a biggie but thought I'd report it.

Re: WU updates
In that case your update interval isn't 5 minutes, it's whatever you have your rapid fire interval set to. When you're using rapid fire, WU decides what entries to display in your history; I don't know how it decides that.RayProudfoot wrote:Yes.

Hmmm, okay. I don't want to lose RapidFire so I'll leave things as they are. Too many updates is better then too few.steve wrote:In that case your update interval isn't 5 minutes, it's whatever you have your rapid fire interval set to. Definitely seems to be a Weather Underground process as I am using the Final (non beta) Cumulus 1.9.0 with Rapid Updates enabled. My data acts like yours with mine shown below..

Re: WU updates
I guess if you are curious about why they display it that way. I personally do not mind how they display my history data as long as the data is correct.
Take care and have a good weekend..

I did say 'maybe'. Probably won't bother for reasons you give. You have a good 'un too.
