Good Morning
Is there something I can get to check the solar radiation and what about a lightening detector. We have lots of lightening in Wexford this time of the year
John

Have a look at this site: http://users.adam.com.au/blstoneadsl/Nexstorm/index.htm
He has set up a lightning detector that covers my area, all details are on his web site. Its really good to watch lightning storms approach on here, but I think it was a fairly big inventment for him.

Thanks Hills
Looks a bit expensive alright, I think I will stick to looking for something for the solar radiation, any ideas on that.

Re: solar radiation and lightening detector
Well yes actually
Another mate of mine is installing a new weather station with all sorts of addons like solar radiation, ground moisture. evaporation as well as all of the usual stuff. He has been documenting his install here: http://huddoshome.com/ Unfortunatley his wether data pages are offline while he installs it but he has shown me the solar radiation graphs. They also display how long he can stay out in the sun before burning based on his skin type.
But unfortunately again he's invested quite a bit on this too.

Re: solar radiation and lightening detector
A lightning detector is one thing I'm thinking of adding in my 1-wire experiments but I'm looking at simpler thing first such as temperature (all in one TO92 case). I'm currently downloading the software development environment.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.
