I am stuck installing this on my Windows 7 computer. I have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile installed. When I run the setup.exe in the ‘Control’ directory I am prompted to enter my user name and password and then I get the following error.

error 1001. No mapping between account names and security IDs was done.

It sounds like the user you are trying to use does not have sufficient privilege; in particular, it needs 'log on as a service'.

I still haven't decided whether I'm going to stay with running the service under a normal user, or switch to using the LocalService user, in which case this sort of issue would disappear.

Are you asking me, or the original poster? I haven't done any changes to Cumulus 2 since August.

I'm asking to you, Steve. ;)

Are you going to do an update soon? Or the project is stopped?

Well, I don't know for certain what his problem is, so I can't fix it. If the problem is what I suggested it might be, then the solution is to use a user with sufficient privilege.

Not soon, no. I'm working on Cumulus 1 at the moment. There's only so much I can do.

It's stopped for now, while I work on Cumulus 1. I may get back to it one day.

I created an administrator account with password, and I have the same error (error 1001). Is there some setting in the administrator account that has that changed?

Using Google Translator, I'm sorry

See my first post in this thread. Does your user have that privilege?

Yes, I've seen. Now I am trying to configure my user, but can not find that option

You need to edit your local security policy.

As far as I can tell, this problem occurs when your user doesn't have the 'log on as a service' privilige, and you need to edit your local security policy to allow it. If I ever do any more work on Cumulus 2, I will probably change it so it runs as the Local Service user.
