Post by JacquesD »

Hi,

I'm happy to invite you to take a look at my previously anounced devlopments.

Then, as my First Cumulus Web Dashboard, I offer you the draft work in progress.
With its modern style, it offer a catchy design and a pleiad of meteorological informations.

The devlopment is on good way and with your comments, it will be superb!

Then see it at our Forum "English" at that adress :

(French version displayed, but multilingual planned too!)

Yours,
Jacques DesRoches

Sorry, I'm a bit confused here. There seems to be a new forum setup by a member for a 'gizmo' that apparently will work with Cumulus data. I just don't understand why a I'm being directed to a forum dedicated to a new way of displaying Cumulus data? Surely, it doesn't need a whole new forum being setup? Just post your Cumulus 'enhancements' to this forum.

I really don't get the point at all? Anyone?

If every Cumulus forum member created a forum for every 'add-on' they made, it surely would become very messy here?

Also, I don't want to be rude, the products are 'interesting', but a new forum, created by a member for it? - most would just get lost and give up.

I think perhaps the topics should be developed as part of the 3rd party tools area, rather than a seperate forum, that way at least everyone knows where to look?

Is any of your work Copyrighted Steve?

Hi Paul,

Sorry to have mixed you, but you know having Satellite enterprises is a sign of maturity for a software. Microsoft does'nt host software add-in of their products.

I have told Steve and Daj about my plans, but place in Wiki and French Forum has not received attention.

My plan is to offer French Enhancements, and transale it to multiple language.
(Quebec is French Country, fighting for it's survival!)

Then hope having not disturb.

Jacques

This is the third party tools for Cumulus and I think it's strange to discuss third party tools on other forums.

Nothing wrong with that at all, and some of your stuff is extremely good, in fact i am waiting to see some of it.

I think what Paul is trying to say, is why not develop it here, rather than on a seperate forum, put your developments in the 3rd party tools area, and maybe keep it there, rather than post the same post in two different places?

Not having a dig, merely trying to offer some advice
