Hi

Somewhere, probably in a instruction guide, I once read what minimum battery voltage the vp2 console can work at. Sadly I can´t find that info again. Anyone knowing that voltage?

Kind regards :)

I don't know what voltage it will actually work at, but the console gives the low battery warning at 3.5v, if that's any help.

Ok Thanks. That helps, a little anyway :D

I´m thinking of doing a "voltmeter" based on the <#battery> tag. Something with a green, yellow and red LED gif for three conditions good acceptabel and bad. Bad could be 3,5V and below.

Kenneth.

It's hard for anyone else to know, but you! What does your console say (press Hum while holding Temp)?

Hello again:

After pressing the buttons in the bottom of the console displays:

"BGN 12 BATTERY 4.61 V"

To this I add that my davis is American, too American adapter with a power transformer to change 220V to 110V. I did not buy a no original european adapter, because I've seen in forums of weather, that the american adapter has a voltage limiter to 5 volts and the European no.

My weather station is 2 years old and still have not changed any battery.

I don't think I've ever changed my console batteries either, and mine is four years old. Showing 4.58v currently. They don't get used much, only when the electricity supply goes down during a storm.

The google translator is not very good, I should always fix the translation.

Ok, I've seen, while English speakers use a word for various things, the Spanish language is the other way around, you use a word and we must guess which is the translation into Spanish of 3 or 4 possible translations.

In Spanish we have:

-"Horas de sol"--hours of sunlight---- this is ok.
-"Luz del sol" -sunlight
-"Brillo de sol" ----sunshine

 :D

We say "horas de sol" ( more or less " hours of sun") but in english you say "hours of sunlight"
Sorry and thanks.-----Not the same think and speak in English to think in Spanish and translated into English ;)

Sorry, it was a joke about the weather here, not about the word you used, which was correct.

Hello everyone,
I use the Cumulus a few days ago.
I am testing the Vantage Vue in my room.
Now I do not use tha battery in the console.
But I recognize the "Console battery" is 4.77v.
?
I shut down the Cumulus and I restart the Cumulus.
So I can find "0v" on the screen.
That is correct.
Maybe it is not big problem.

Cumulus is showing 4.77v for your console battery, but you don't have batteries installed? Cumulus just reads the value from the Davis software; perhaps it sends 4.77 when there's no battery installed.
