Hi,

I'm using 1.9.2 beta build 1015.

I have this year's low pressure record of 972,9hPa 14.sep.2011 at 8:16.

When I use webtag <YearPressLD format=ddddd> it gives me correct date 14.sep.

But when I use webtag <MonthPressLD format=ddddd> it gives me date 4. september. However If I leave it unformatted, it gives me the correct date 14. september... Whattaheck?

PS. Could you give me help on how to remove superbig rain that did not happen? I just noticed, that it says it rained at rate 14746mm/hour, totalling 2457,6 mm per day on july 5th... If that were true, my pc should have been flushed away.

What does the timestamp look like in month.ini (LTime in the [Pressure] section)? What is your Windows Short Date Format?

Use the dayfile editor to correct those values, then use the high/low editors to correct your highs and lows.

The most strange thing just happened. I edited the template once more (with notepad++) and restored the formatting that I removed previously when I spotted the problem. Now it works as supposed. I have no clue what I did wrong yesterday since all 22 other formattings on the same page were fine all the time. :)

But something odd is definitely going on with the rain data. As I said, it shows 2457,6 mm rain at 5.6.2011 (d.M.yyyy) on the "yearly high and lows", and also in "all time records". But yet it says on "now" -page that "rainfall this year" is 432,0mm. I did not yet edit any of the files in case you want to debug it more. I have been running v.1.9.1 beta 982 at 5.6.2011 when the error most likely has happened.

Just edit your data. Inventing rainfall is just something that Fine Offset stations do. I keep adding code and facilities to Cumulus to try to work around it.

Ok. So it is by design that any "clearly" erraneous rain data is not calculated into the yearly rainfall? That was actually the thing I wanted to know.

But anyways, a Big Thank You for developing this great software. Keep up the good work Steve.

The intention is that any clearly erroneous rainfall isn't taken into account at all. But it's not easy to work out what is clearly erroneous, when the station's rainfall counter can go up or down by large (or small) amounts, temporarily or permanently. And it's not easy to ignore the aberrations in all of the figures.
