Why not day/night for each of the seasons ;)

The 'trick" could be applied to anything else, just by using <#isdaylight> webtag.
On your page you just have to insert something like that "picture<#isdaylight>.jpg"
and having 2 pictures named picture0.jpg and picture1.jpg! Switch will be automatic!

And why stop there, you could also have pictures that are nice and sunny, and some stormy, then also use the <#forecastnumber> tag, something like "picture-<#isdaylight>-<#forecastnumber>.jpg You could reuse a few images to cover a range of forecast numbers. I realise that the forecast isn't a 'nowcast', so you maybe you could use the <#rrate> and or <#beaufort> tags to select an image. The <#rrate> would have to converted using a bit of javascript to a 0/1 value.

picture-<#isdaylight>-<#beaufort>

or something like (incomplete)...

<script .....>
var r = <#rrate> == 0 ? 0 : 1;
document.write('<img src="picture-<#isdaylight>-' + r.toString() + '.jpg" />');
</script>

Jacques, if you want any hints using the steelseries drop me a PM and we can discuss direct off-list. I have customised the gauges from Gerrits standard download. The linear gauges I have only tweaked slightly, they could probably be tweaked some more, and I have some additional little features I want to add to the radial gauges.

Hi Bob,

No! Sorry, no download available for now! :(
Text pages are finished. Now I'm working on gauges page to build
something different for this template too!

And since I think many users liked system page, I'll work
on something different too!

Then, to follow...

Jacques

Still getting 'gibberish' on your accented chars Jaques, and there's a thin stripe in the middle of your 'Now' button which disappears on mouseover.

Accented characters work OK for me - Chrome
The 'bar' through the 'now tab is there.
The All time records page:
- shows 'This year's data' on the left rather than 'All time records' or such.
- has the text 'All time Records', with inconsistent capitalisation, to match the other pages it should be 'All time records'
The Now page has the same problem as the previous template with super/sub scripted units in the 'Observations' box.

Hi!

Gauges page alignment corrected (hope), few refinment added.
Tooltip ok on thermometers, but need tweaking on gauges.

Beteljuice, are you experiencing problem on accents again?
(Pages are saved in ANSI, and charset to iso8559-1)

we're near end for that template... maybe an other template ready for the week-end :clap:

Jacques

Yes - but I do seem to get it on others web pages as well !
It seems that for some reason my machine doesn't like the ISO settings. ?

If I look at France 24 there is no problem, but they publish in utf-8.

If I modify your template

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

Then it appears as it should do.
