I'm trying to create a custom wx site using dreamweaver cs5.5. I've been using the default template for a while now, and it's time to upgrade.

I have no prior experience with dreamweaver, but I've found quite a few tutorials which have been helping. I have the basics down, but am lost when it comes to using tags to update data from the cumulus data files.

Perhaps I bit off more than I can chew, but I could really use some guidance. I'm pretty sure I have to point the new site, as a whole, to the cumulus data files in order for the site to update the tags, but I'm not sure how to do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ok, so in order to use a custom design, I insert the cumulus webtags into the site code, then have cumulus process the pages containing the tags during upload?

Yep that's it. Common mistake is to edit the normal html file. Edit the T.html files. eg. indexT.html. Cumulus grabs that, changes all the webtags to current data and spits out and uploads the index.html file.

The original files are in the 'web\originals' folder, unless you edit/delete them of course.

LOL! Yes, they are there. I guess I was so used to making copies that I have backups for the backups now. Before I work on a file I always make a copy and rename the copy to something like indexTori.html lolololol
