Collecting data since October last year. My New Record Light is flashing with a new Record high temp, high apparant temp and high heat index on a very hot and horrible day (I hate the Summer here in the Sub Tropics but it is Summer) but we have been expecting it. The old record was 34.4 for the temp at 11:20am on 15 Nov 2011, 39.0 at 11:10am on 15 Nov 2011 for apparent Temp and 42.2 at 11: 10am on 15 Nov 2011 for the heat Index.

That is really close to mine!!! T=37.7C, AT=43.6C but HI=51.5C. Can't believe I have had a lower temp of 12!

I only been using Cumulus since last Spring. Last Winter I recorded a low of 2.8 and in 2009 a low of 1.9. I am slowly going through my manual records since 2009 and so once that is done I will have a better idea of what Records I have.

I thought I was in the sub tropics but I almost beat you in the Tropics. That is crazy, It is heat that is crazy.

Tropics aren't about extreme heat. We don't get heat waves. Our weather is very subtle, infact, the closer you get to the equator the less wind you get unless your getting a cyclone. What isn't close is the Dew Points, mine get alot higher (28.9 yuk) but also alot lower mainly due to the low humidity in the dry season.(-4.3C @ 10%).

Record Light flashing again, but it might not be a record ( it is in Cumulus but I won't know until I sort out by older records from 2009). It is low Humidity of 19 per cent and low dew point of 9.6 degree C in a dry and windy change that is set to cool things down.

Edit ( one hour later) : the dew point is dropping again and it had got to 7.9. See it goes, reported too soon, thought it would go up but the humdity is only rising slowly and the temp is slowly dropping.

Edit (next morning): It peaked at 7.6 overnight as the the humdity approaches more normal levels.

WIND GUST AND WIND SPEED RECORDS BROKEN AFTER COLD FRONT PASSES.
You could check out the trends on the web site and you will see that there was a lull in the wind just like a hurricane.

iceberg,
We got that front a little earlier than you with an immediate drop in temperature from 10 to 0oC. Set a new all time high wind gust 62.1oC and wind speed 29.9 km/h but that is not as high as you got. Unfortunatelly I can't see the all time records green light on the Cumulus console since my monitor is not working

Broke 2 records this past week, records since Oct, 2010
didn't get the wind speed you did, but still pretty windy night. Six miles to my east we have the Carrier Dome, a domed sports arena, which recorded a wind gust of 105 mph ! WOW Check the link below as a local weatherman went there to do a report.

-8.9°C here, that's the lowest i've ever recorded. Not bad considering i live in between two rivers, and Poole harbour is only a few miles to my East.
