If I start Cumulus set to use datalogger it starts and shows -
Downloading data
(non-moving progress bar)
Please wait
2000-00-00 00:0

this shows continuously, Cumulus never displays any new data and the date on the message panel always stays at 2000-00-00 00:0.

If I change configuration to not use data logger and restart Cumulus it displays current data ok.

I don't leave Cumulus running permanently, it is closed down overnight along with the pc, so require it to catch up with data stored in the logger but don't seem to be able to do this.

Disabling and re-enabling the usb port has no effect.

Not sure what to do next.
Using v1.9.2 b1027

If you edit Cumulus.ini and add a line to the [Station] section

Logging=1

this will turn on the debug log at start up, and then the debug.log file will show what, if anything, the station is sending when it should be sending the 'archive' data, so please let it run for a few minutes after start up, and then attach the debug.log file here.

How long are you leaving it to run for?

And do any of the graphs and wind directions move in the background whilst it has the message.
When I leve mine un-plugged for about 10minutes it seems to take a while, (never left it much longer than an hour) but my graphs in the background dart about to reflect the data that's being read.

Have a look to see what is happening behind that first window.

Is the date and time set correctly on your console, by the way? The text you've posted suggests that may be the problem.

thanks for the prompt replies.
I have attached 2 short debug logs with the data logger on and off.

not sure what is happening here - the clock is showing correct. Will have to see what time this post displays.

I have left it for long and short periods but still the same.

The archive packets that your station is sending are all zero. They are valid packets with a length and a checksum, but they are just zero. This is where the odd date and time come from.

0067.876 : 17:02:22 Packet:D2 2A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 FC 00

I don't know what to suggest other than resetting the station. Or perhaps clear the memory and see if it starts logging correctly after that.

ok, thanks very much for your efforts.
I have previously reset the station but am now thinking that I should remove the batteries this time rather than just pressing the reset button.
Watch this space - I've got my fingers crossed.

pleased to say the problem is now resolved.

The answer was to reset the station by removing batteries and power supply not just pressing the reset button.

thanks again.
