Hello,
I am new to this forum and Cumulus weather software. I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 with weatherlinkIP. I am interested in trying cumulus software so I have installed and configured it (abit to the best of my ability). Weatherlink(software) is currently not running, but the live weatherlink updates are still working. The local Cumulus software is working fine on my PC. I am running windows 7. The problem that I am having is with the web aspects of the software. I have created a directory within my webspace for the cumulus website and transfered the files per the documentation. i.e. WEBFILES directory intact with directory structure to my webspace. I have also chosen to use the index.html file from the web directory of cumulus, so the contents of the web directory (files without the T) have also been transfered into (WEB) directory for Cumulus. My settings in configuration - internet reflect the ftp site and the directory where I have the website. I have autoupdates checked, active ftp checked and under the files tab, standard images and standard files checked.
Now for the problem. I am not updating the data on the website! ?????? I can manually update that data via my FTP software, so I know the updates are made to my local files. I also do not get any error light on the cumulus software screen on my PC. Does anyone have an idea? Probably somthing simple, but I have been scratching my head for 2 days now.

The most likely reason is that you haven't specified the ftp directory correctly. This needs to be a path on your ftp server which specifies where your web site files are, and which Cumulus can use in an ftp 'change directory' command immediately on logging in. If you turn on ftp logging, this will confirm that this the problem by showing an error ("no such file or directory") when Cumulus attempts to change directory.

I now have FTP logging on and I am receiving the "No such file or directory" error. However I have tried several variations of the directory that currently works with Smart FTP. I am providing the same information to both programs. I have a word document with images of both the FTP connection with Smart FTP and the internet settings in Culumus. Again currently the internet settings are configured to upload files to the \public_html\cumulus directory of my website.

Got it working. A simple / instead of a \. Don't know what I was thinking. Thank you for the help.
