Hi,

For all the VP2 users I just want to find out how your plastics are holding up. I'm coming up to a year with my Vp2 and our harsh aussie sun has kinda tarnished the plastics on the rain bucket. I don't see any cracks at all and I'm not too worried about it. But just wanted to know how long you have had your Vp2 and are the plastics holding up.

Does anyone clean it with some special cleaner to protect it?

Cheers
Lyle

I've had mine for four and a half years in our fairly harsh climate (harsh in a different way to yours!) and while it has faded somewhat I don't think it's anything to worry about. The manual recommends cleaning with soapy water and then rinsing, and that's what I do to mine. Using anything other than that is probably not to be recommended.

No problems here in Brisbane. Had the VP2 for about 15 months and rainbucket looks new. Still shiny. FARS is a little dusty but holding up well. I dont clean it at all. Just inspect for bugs and spiders and leaves occasionally.

I cleaned mine with http://www.plexusplasticcleaner.com/frames.html last time I was up there and it seemed to clean it up a bit... and its supose to protect. Just thought I would check with other people about theirs before I started to worry about mine falling apart
