But it is alway usefull to see other ways to do things :)

Ok after a couple of days trying to cram in some more programming time
I have now added a few more features, along with creating a few graphics
for some data display's :)

See below for version history indicating what's new.

If you find any bugs etc.. please let me know so I can sort out a fix, thanks.

Download version 1.0.5 : http://www.wokinghamweather.co.uk/downloads/CRTDGv105.zip

Version History Log

1.0.5 - (24-02-12)

1. Added Rain Beaker to [Rain] tab. Beaker fills up as "today's rain" value changes.
2. Pressure @ Station graphic added to [Graphic Data] tab. Indicates High or Low pressure state.

1.0.4 - (23-02-12)

1. Added Average Gust, Average direction & Beaufort data to WindCompass Screen
2. Added CloudBase to new [Graphic Data] tab
3. Added extra error handler to retry to grab data if it is slow to download. (testing)
4. Moved Internal Data to [other] tab

1.0.3 - added Wind compass (22.02.2012)

I have tweaked the program with a few minor bug fixes which should now make
it more stable.

Download version 1.0.6 : http://www.wokinghamweather.co.uk/downloads/CRTDGv106.zip

New in this version:

1.0.6 - (25-02-12)

1. Added code to allow more time for Realtime.txt to be grabbed from the URL.
2. "Clear all" button now clears and resets the WindCompass radio buttons.

Very nice! Is there a way to save the URL of the realtime.txt location? If the program is closed, it resets to : http://www.wokinghamweather.co.uk/weather/realtime.txt

Thank you

Hi Bob,

I will have a look into implementing that feature, so that people don't have to
keep changing the URL ;) .

I just wanted to get the program stable and working, and got so wrapped up
with bug fixing etc.. I forgot to add that feature LOL.

I will have a look to see if I can sort something out over the next few
days as long as my day job doesn't get it the way :)

As soon as I have it sorted I will upload a new version.

Mark

Thanks Geoff, for you kind words and encouragement.

Bob,

I thought rather than wait and try to sort out the URL saving and loading code tomorrow,
as otherwise I will be lying in bed later trying to think how to do it, I decided to sort it out
now for you :)

Luckily it did not take too long :) so please find the revised version below for download.

FYI.
I have encluded in the zip a file called, SavedURL.txt, which must be present and
reside in the same folder as the main program file other wise the program will not run.

On 1st run of the program it will have my default URL loaded into the program, but all you
will need to do is enter your URL in the TextBox and then press the [SAVE URL] button
which will then write your URL into the "SavedURL.txt" file. Then when you run the
program on subsequent times it will load up your URL :D

Please can you let me know if it all works correctly just so I know I have not got
any bugs. Thanks.

Download version 1.0.7 : http://www.wokinghamweather.co.uk/downloads/CRTDGv107.zip

I've uploaded a new version today see below for what's new.

Download version 1.0.8 : http://www.wokinghamweather.co.uk/downloads/CRTDGv108.zip

New in this version:

1.0.8 - (28-02-12)

1. Added FineOffset Sensor State graphic to [Graphic Data] tab'
2. Tidied up [Graphic data] screen'

I am curently working on some more additional features which will be in the next release
so keep checking back for new versions :) I'm having to learn a lot of new coding techniques
and features of VB.NET to be able to add them to the program, so it may be a couple of days
before I have a new version for download, dependant upon how I get on with coding ;)

Hi Geoff,

The sensor state shown in my program is retrieved from "Field 50" Flag in the realtime.txt file.

Which as far as i believe only works with FineOffeset Stations, as per the information
from Cumulus wiki page here:

http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Realtime.txt

Which states under the Discription for Field 50:

"If the station has lost contact with its remote sensors "Fine Offset only", a Flag number is given (1 = Yes, 0 = No) "

So dependant upon which Flag number is current within the realtime.txt file, the icon and description in
my program will change.

If in future Steve adds sensor state support for other stations then I will be more than happy to include
sensor state for them in my program.

Mark

After another afternoon of coding and I have managed to add another feature :)

I'ts starting to require more consentration with each new feature, as I have to
re-orientate myself within the code each time (that is getting longer and longer LOL) to make
sure I add all the right bits into all the correct places. ;) Plus then bug test it to make sure
it works correctly and doesn't do something odd :)

I've made sure I have put comments in the code to help myself navigate around to the correct
places, but I may have to spend some time to see if I can optimise the code further and clean
it up as well as update my comments. All the fun of programming is now coming back to me LOL

Anyway, new version is below to download.

Download version 1.1.1 : http://www.wokinghamweather.co.uk/downloads/CRTDGv111.zip

See below for what's new.

New in this version:

1.1.1 - (03-03-12)

Wind Speed graph added to new [Wind Graph] tab.
Plots wind speed at currently selected data update interval,
which can be changed by clicking on the (set update interval) button,
which sets the global update schedule.
