That looks like a file/page rather than a directory. You probably want: public_html/noaa_reports

You need to make sure that the directory exists (i.e. you need to create it before Cumulus can upload into it).

Edit: Actually, having looked at your site, I think you want public_html/NOAA-reports for the directory.

Steve, tried "public_html/NOAA-reports" but still nothing. Does Cumulus upload that noaa text file with each update? The NOAA-reports directory on my server only has the files that I manually uploaded.

Auto save after daily reset: If set, when Cumulus does the end of day reset, it will auto create NOAA-style reports for the month and year corresponding to the day which has just ended.
Auto FTP after auto-save: If set, when Cumulus does the first FTP upload after the daily reset, it will also upload the latest auto-created monthly and yearly NOAA-style reports. Note that you must already have regular (non-realtime) FTP configured.

Cumulus Help says to pu the entire path to the directory in, so should it be "ftp.woodlandweather.org/public_html/NOAA-reports" ?

Sorry for being a little dense with this... ;)

So if I understand correctly, it only uploads these reports on the 1st upload of the day? Therefore any changes I make in NOAA setup today cannot be tested until tomorrow?

If that's how your ftp file store is set up, yes. It's the same concept as setting the ftp directory for 'normal' uploads.

Yes. There's no point in uploading them on every upload as they only change at the end of the day.

Any changes you make to NOAA setup other than the ftp settings will be reflected in the next manually or automatically created reports. If you change the ftp directory, that won't have any effect until it actually needs to use the directory, i.e. at the next auto-upload, after midnight.

So, this is now my path in NOAAsetup: ftp.woodlandweather.org/public_html/NOAA-reports

And now I'll wait till tomorrow to see if it works...

Thank you

You should be able to predict whether it will work or not based on what you have specified for the normal ftp directory and/or 'extra' remote files, it's exactly the same process. If your normal ftp directory is ftp.woodlandweather.org/public_html and that works, then your NOAA-reports directory is at ftp.woodlandweather.org/public_html/NOAA-reports

Have tried to no avail to get Cumulus to auto upload these reports. The only way I get them uploaded regularly is with Cumulus Toolbox. :?:

What have you got for ftp directory in the internet settings? What have you got for ftp directory in the NOAA settings? If you're uploading 'extra' files, what's an example of the remote filename for one of those?

If www/realtimegauges.txt is getting your realtimegauges.txt file to the right place, then your NOAA reports path is www/NOAA-reports

It looks like public_html and www are equivalent.

No - for 'normal' ftp it's already changed directory to /public_html, but I'm begining to wonder if that exists !

/public_html/www/ seems a bit OTT to me ?

Then there is the mis-pathed /www/view-guage.js which seems to be current - so something is crashing through to 'root' whatever that may be !

ftp log should tell us something.
