Hi Steve,

Firstly, thank you very much for the new monthly records feature. It's much appreciated.

I've updated each month's records and everything looks fine. I copied all the data from the middle set of data to the records on the left and then checked the middle column with the right one and where the right had a higher/lower record I copied that to the far left record column.

I don't select the option on install to use the standard templates so instead I copied monthlyrecordT.htm manually to my cumulus\web folder. I assume Cumulus will then process it as one of the standard files.

In theory the dayfile.txt values should always have the appropriate higher or lower values than those from the monthly logs (because dayfile.txt should always capture the day's extreme value). But I did notice that like you, one or two of mine were 'more extreme' in the right hand column (from the monthly logs). I guess this is just down to operating glitches and bugs over the years.
Yes, that's right; if 'include standard files' is ticked, it will look for and process the nine standard files that it knows the names of.

will the dayfile update the records or do i have to manualy edit it each time?
would it be possable to have a update from dayfile function rather than having to go throu each entry

If you don't use the standard templates, what did you use for your "T" file? I don't use standard either and after editing the records, I don't get anything on monthlyrecord.htm. cumulus is processing the web folder but nothing displays. Any help appreciated....

I've used Steve's T file for now. It is located in cumulus\web\originals so copy it from there to the web folder. Cumulus will then process it.

I've started to customise my new Monthly Records template to give it the same look and feel as my other pages.

Here are 3 lines for the Maximum Temperature section. I want to show the time and date in a different format.

<td class="right_align_indented"><span id=TempH><#ByMonthTempH mon=1></span>&nbsp;<#tempunit></td>
<td class="right_align_indented"><span id=TempHT><#ByMonthTempHT mon=1 format="'at' hh:mm 'on day' d yyyy"></span></td>

But when I open the page and press a month button it continues to show the time and date in your original format and not my customised one. Why would it not show my own format? I'm off to bed shortly and will pick up replies Wed afternoon.

All you've done so far is change the format for the value that is shown when you first go to the page. If you look near the top of the file you'll see the declaration of a set of Javascript variables, e.g.

var hightempT = new Array("<#ByMonthTempHT mon=1>","<#ByMonthTempHT mon=2>","<#ByMonthTempHT mon=3>","<#ByMonthTempHT mon=4>", ...

Those are the values that the Javascript code uses when you click on a button. You have to change all of those. Somewhat tedious, I realise, and I suppose a single setting in Cumulus to override the format parameter would make it rather easier. But you only have to do it once, and a clever text editor makes it much easier.

Thanks Steve. A little tedious as you say but it only has to be done once. Well worth the effort for the extra dimension it gives to users' records.

Is there a "Highest monthly windrun" (like the rain) ?

Also you have daily 'range' (low / high) for temp, is there similar for pressure ?
