First of all much gratitude to the to the owner of Cumulus, Steve, for producing what I consider the best format for displaying weather data. I like its clean feel! Also, my thanks go out to everyone on the forum - your snippets of crucial detail have been invaluable in setting up my station on the web. Without it I wouldn't have managed! It was daunting!

I would appreciate your comments that everything is as it should be.

In time I would like to include a paragraph on my geographical/topographical location, but not sure if it is appropriate to expand within the 'description' box of station settings for fear of pushing the summary of local conditions further down the page.

Anyway, that is something I can think about in in the near future.

Your pages look fine. Here is an easy way to add a description to your page: open the indexT.html page in a text editor, find the place where you see this
<!-- END Almanac -->
<p>Welcome to Marus Bridge, Wigan, NW England. Your text could go here</p>
<p>The weather station in use is the Oregon Scientific WMR200, and these pages are updated
every 10 minutes. The meteorological day used at this station ends at
midnight. or here</p>

and add the text between either set of <p></p> tags

If you want a separate paragraph just add <p> Your text here</p> where you want it on the page.

I found my indexT.html file in cumulus c:drive. Where do I edit? Do I simply do it in notepad and then upload to my webspace? You'll have to forgive my ignorance on this. I'm still trying to get my head round all this new language. For sure, this is the first area where I want to modify my webpage, so your info is appreciated.

BTW.....your site looks impressive and a joy to explore.

I suggest using notepad++ as an editor; it is free and makes editing easier than notepad. Open the IndexT.html in the editor and add the text where you want, close it and save it. The revised page should appear on your webpage with the next update (in your case 10 minutes). I suggest making a backup copy of IndexT.html before you make any changes that way if something goes wrong you have your original.

I'm fairly new to all this too.

Essentially, you're right - edit indexT.html using notepad and upload to your website. (I made a copy of mine just in case I messed up - saved in notepad)

I've chopped and changed the index page numerous times. Half the fun is experimenting!!

You don't need to upload the indexT.htm to your web site. That's the template which Cumulus uses to create the index.htm file, which it then uploads itself to your web site.
