That looks a very professional looking screen KevinF

What have you used for you anometer mast?
Or is that the standard pole, raised higher and wall mounted.

Thanks...So far so good with my readings. I do monitor and correlate data from all the local stations that I know manage their instruments for maximum accuracy to ensure the validity of my readings. I've tried my best to emulate, with the what I have available, the good practice promoted by the M.O for the placement of instruments.

For the anemometer I utilised the existing pole that came with the WMR200 and attached it to the shed. Maybe not the highest I would like it to be, but at least it reflects the wind at a micro level.

I'm puzzled why a huge company like OS have provided such a pathetic shield. Unfortunately, we now have a situation where other people will be taking readings that are obviously excessive. Last thing I want here in South Central Lancashire are record highs! :)

I've ended up putting mine up on a 4m bit of copper gas pipe I had left over in the garage, to the top of that I put the OS GuyRope bracket, and then extended the guy wires.

Not the prettiest, but get much better wind readings.

Would love to go higher, or move to a roofline, but scared to do the roofline one myself, and making a higher mast would upset the other half.

Only other thing I'd like to do is extend the solar cables as well, as I don't fancy taking the mast down each time the batteries die.
