How do you actually upload files (Files tab)

At least to me.

Can someone actually explain what I'm supposed to actually supposed to type

I'm trying to get Cumulus to upload an XML file to the file server that my Cumulus site is on. No matter what I type under "Remote Filename", it never actually uploads.

Do I put the website URL, e.g. http://www.site.com/directory/filename

OR do I put the FTP host, e.g. ftp://ftp.site.com/directory/filename?

Because I've tried both, and the file in question doesn't get uploaded.

You specify a file on the ftp server to which you have configured a connection. You don't specify the protocol, because that's always ftp; you don't specify the server, because that's always the one that you have configured. You supply a path and file name on the ftp server, e.g. somedirectory/somefilename

I tried every possible thing I can think of.

ftp://ftp.servername.com/folder/file.ext

http://www.servername.com/folder/file.exe

folder/file.exe

None of these seem to work. And no, I'm not literally typing "servername.com" those are just examples.

With CumulusMX I had to shut down the program and restart it for the extra file upload to take effect. I don't know if the same is true for Cumulus or not.

If the correct format, i.e.

doesn't work, then you have either configured it incorrectly, or there is a problem with your ftp server. If you turn on ftp logging, the ftplog.txt file should give you a clue as to what is wrong. It would also be useful to show a screenshot of your settings.

I've already told you that you don't supply the server name.
