Cumulus Support

Having just installed Cumulus and started to download the data I have noticed one omission - the lack of download progress information. The amount of data in the data logger is known therefore it must be a simple matter of creating download progress information either in the form of a bar graph or percent download.

The amount of new data available in the logger isn't known in advance, Cumulus has to work backwards from the latest entry to work it out. I'm pretty sure there is code in there to give a progress indication from that point on, i.e. while it is actually processing the data, in the progress window and in the status bar. If that has stopped working for some reason, or doesn't work on your system in particular for some reason, then I'm sorry.

Thanks Steve, I removed and reinstalled Cumulus and it now downloads new data, from the time of installation, but not historic data. Is there a reason why historic data is not downloaded. To my way of thinking this defeats the object of having data stored in the display unit.

It's done for consistency and simplicity, reducing the risk of issues with the data from the station when Cumulus is first run.
