Rainfall adjustment ...

Greetings,
I've been having several instances of the dreaded USB Lockup with my Fineoffset station of late ... why all of a sudden I do not know.
However as a consequence of this, and the restarts, the cumulative rainfall figure now shows as being grossly in excess of the actual amount.
How do I adjust the rainfall readout in MX to bring it down to the real level ???
