Zambretti Forecaster - which wind direction is used

Post by wetterfrosch1971 »

Hi,

which wind direction is used in Cumulus to create the Zambretti Forecaster?
use cumulus the current wind direction or the average 10 minute wind direction?
if cumulus use the current wind direction, can I change this to the average wind direction?
because at many weather stations the wind vane flutters and therefore the zambretti forecast above the average wind direction would be better.

many thanks.

Change of the interval avgwinddirection: go to the cumulus.ini under> [station] and if not available add the following entry below:
AvgBearingMinutes=20
AvgBearing calculation is done in minutes. Normal interval = 10 min. (if no entry).
